My Labor Day Experience
As the eagerly anticipated Labor Day finally arrived, we were granted a much-deserved break from our daily routines. These few precious days of holiday, I wanted to make the most of it.
Day one, I was off to Yiwu. Starting from Shanghai by train, passing through Jiaxing and Hangzhou, the journey was filled with breathtaking scenery. Although there weren't many waters, the abundance of hills didn't let me down. My mood was unaffected because I am not overly fond of vast bodies of water, especially big rivers.
With a mix of excitement and anticipation, I arrived in Yiwu. I have heard many people speak about Yiwu's fame due to its small merchandise, and now I can fully appreciate it. However, what I loved most was the night. I stayed in a neighborhood surrounded by hills, the air was pristine, but the place was quite lively with various insects. The sunlight was strong there for several days, so usually during the midday hours, I stayed indoors, sleeping or relaxing. Nightfall was when I went out to explore and enjoy the city's nightlife.
A week passed by in a blur, and the holidays were over. Despite feeling a bit sad to leave Yiwu, I looked forward to the next Labor Day when I could once again breathe in the fresh air on those hills.
In conclusion, my Labor Day holiday was filled with travel, exploration, and new experiences. It was a break from the routine that left me refreshed and eager for more adventures. As the next Labor Day approaches, I am already looking forward to my next journey and the new experiences it will bring.
